UNDERGROUND MULTIMEDIA EXHIBITION

A visit to the Bochnia Salt Mine is not just a tour, but a journey through time, starting in the medieval period and ending in the contemporary era. From the hands of Polish kings, medieval miners, and merchants from Genoa, you will learn the secrets of salt mining and the history of the town of Bochnia. The tour of the Route is an interactive experience, with spatial audio and interactive presentations integrated into the natural salt landscape, complementing the colorful stories of the guides who will accompany you in this impressive subway world of salt. At the end of the tour, the largest chamber of the entire mine awaits you: Chamber Ważyn where you will find a restaurant, a sports field and a children's playground.

There are three different versions of the touristic route with the underground multimedia exhibition, which differ in terms of difficulty, tour length, and tour duration:

• Tour with multimedia exhibition (no age limit, approximately 3 hours).

• Tour with multimedia exhibition and underground boat trip (for visitors aged three and over, duration approx. 4 hours)

• Tour with multimedia exhibition, underground boat trip, and walk on the horse trail (for visitors aged seven and over, duration approx. 4 hours)

All variants of the Tourist Route with Underground Multimedia Exhibition tour include the following additional attractions:

• descent and exit from the mine in an authentic mining elevator,

• ride on a subway mining train,

• stay in the Ważyn Chamber,

• visit the exhibition of an old steam engine.

Tickets for visiting the mine are available at the mine ticket office (also on the day of arrival) and via the ONLINE sales system. Tickets can be purchased online on the day of arrival, until 8:00

Warto wiedzieć

The temperature in the mine is 15 to 16°C and the relative humidity is 70%.
It is recommended to take warm clothes and comfortable shoes.
Along the tourist route you have to climb about 700 stairs up and down.
During your stay underground, you will be accompanied by a guide.
Persons whose condition indicates that they have consumed alcohol or other similar substances are prohibited from entering the mine.
Only adults can go down into the mine, without adult supervision.
Children and adolescents under 18 years of age must be under the supervision of an adult.
Possessing, smoking and possessing lighting materials in the mine is prohibited.
Additional tour service in Polish: stay up to 3 hours - PLN 224, overnight stay - PLN 370.
Additional service for guided tours in a foreign language: stay up to 3 hours - PLN 304, overnight stay - PLN 436.
Additional rafting service - PLN 330
Contraindications to going to the mine: circulatory and respiratory failure, claustrophobia.
